Bethel’s use of video streaming is a means of engagement with both our members and our community. Our streams can be viewed using any computer browser, smartphone, or tablet. However, it is also possible, and perhaps more enjoyable, to watch them on your flat panel TV in the comfort of your family room. Some Smart TVs are able to load the needed application directly, it is more likely that you will watch using an app installed on a physical device, or Digital Media Player (DMP), connected to your TV, e.g., a Roku, AppleTV, or Amazon Fire TV box.

Bethel’s streaming vendor is BoxCast (www.boxcast.com). For phones and tablets you will want to stream from the links at the top of our homepage. But when it comes to getting our streams on your TV, you should download and install the appropriate app on your DMP.

If you already have one of the following DMPs we can give you some help.

Rather than having a hardware version of these DMPs, some Smart TVs can install a software version that can then have the BoxCast app added to it. Some examples of these types of TVs can be found at these links:

Finally, if none of the above work, your TV may have a web browser installed and you can use that to go to this link

and access our content there.

On A More Technical Note

Our video streams are created in High Definition (1080p) resolution and stored on BoxCast servers. BoxCast will provide the stream to your device in 1080p unless other factors impact the resolution you can watch. Primarily, these factors are the speed of your computer/TV and/or the speed of your Internet connection. BoxCast automatically adjusts the resolution you receive to provide you the best possible experience. On your display device (e.g., computer browser) you may want to check the received resolution (look for the Gear icon on the player window as shown in this graphic ----->).
