Bethel Blessings April 20 & 21
NEW MEMBER CLASS: Sunday, April 28th there will be a class with Pastor John about Bethel and it’s ministries. It will be held in Pastor John’s office at 10:30am. The New Members can then join on Saturday, May 4th or Sunday, May 5th with a welcoming spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 4th at 6:30pm.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Do you like to SMILE? Do you love to MEET and CONNECT with people? Then you’re the perfect candidate to be a GREETER or a WELCOME CENTER HOST at Bethel! Greeters meet everyone at the main entrance before the service and Welcome Center Hosts get to know our visitors after the service! We’d love to have you be a part of our TEAM and we are excited to give you all the tools you will need!
BETHEL CARS & COFFEE: Bring your classic, collector, or unique car or truck to the Bethel Spring Cruise-in at the Bethel Church West parking lot. You are welcome to join us for some coffee, donuts and “car talk” on Saturday, April 27th from 9:00am – 11:00am.
BETHEL SPRING CLEANUP: Saturday, May 4th from 8:00am – 11:00am. Please come and help make Bethel look great for the summer! Reconnect with people you haven’t seen in a while. Come early, come late, come for 1 hour, but please come! Things needing attention include: leaf raking, columbarium cleanup, sweeping, branch pickup, trash pickup, minor tree trimming, prepping lawn mowers for the summer, winterizing snow equipment, weed killing, window cleaning, dusting and vacuuming. Please bring your own rakes and supplies if you have a favorite. Donuts, juice and coffee will be provided.
FAMILY PROMISE/IHN: Families are coming to Bethel from May 26th thru June 9th for 2 weeks. Opportunities to serve these families will be published very soon. Please start praying about how YOU might want to participate and volunteer in this vital ministry for our congregation. SAVE THE DATE: May 26th – June 9th
STEPHEN MINISTRY: We all go through times in our life when we could benefit from a little extra care and attention. That’s what Stephen Ministers are for. Stephen Ministers are members of Bethel who have been trained to provide confidential, one-to-one, Christian care to people who are going through a difficult time. They will listen, care, encourage, pray with and for you, and provide weekly support for you as long as your need persists.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES
CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL (Ages 4 thru 5th grade): Come learn where you can experience God’s greatest gifts. We start at 10:30am in the Christ Center.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: June 10-14 Bethel will be having VBS from 9:00am – 12:00pm for Kindergarten through 5th grade kids. The theme is “Scuba Diving Into Friendship With God”.
CONFIRMATION (All 7th thru 9th graders): Come join Pastor John in a faith building journey at 10:30am downstairs off the Christ Center. We will be meeting on April 21st and May 5th.
YOUTH GROUP (Grade 6th – 12th): Sunday, April 21st from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, we will “Build Your Own Burger”. On Saturday, April 27th you can bring your rollerblades and help run the car show in the Bethel parking lot. On Sunday, April 28th we will have “All Church Board Games and Trivia” at 11:00am. Bring your favorite game and sign up for teams (plus you can win fun prizes).
ADULT BIBLE CLASS: Located in the Faith Forum where Pastor Dan is teaching the “Bethel Bible Series” at 10:30am.
DINING OUT GROUP: We meet on the 4th (last) Monday of the month. This month we will meet on the 22nd at Paravicinis Italian, 2802 W Colorado, 80904.
MICROBREW CREW GROUP: The adult group meets monthly at a local microbrewery. The May meeting will be on Monday, the 13th at 6:00pm at OCC Brewing. The address is 2316 W Colorado Ave, 80904.
**We have added a 90-day devotional for you to have titled “Our Daily Bread”. You can find them on the cabinet near the water fountain. There are also large print copies.
