This weekend is the Time Change remember to fall back one hour!
FALL CLEAN UP DAY: Volunteers needed on Saturday, November 2nd starting at 8:00am to make the Bethel grounds beautiful. There will be coffee. Bethel has supplies but please bring your own gloves and rakes in case we run out.
SUNDAY MORNING ALIVE LUNCH is served from 10:45am – 11:15am and will be available November 3rd, November 10th and November 17th.
MICROBREW CREW GROUP: We will be meeting on Monday, November 11th at 6:00pm at Lost Friends Brewery. The address is 2458 Montebello Square Dr, 80918.
SENIOR POTLUCK: Friday, November 15th at noon in the Christ Center.
MEN’S MINISTRY BREAKFAST: Saturday, November 16th at 7:45am in the Christ Center.
MERCY’S GATE HOLIDAY MEAL BASKETS: Bethel, in partnership with Mercy’s Gate, is sponsoring over 30 families who could use extra support this holiday season. Our goal is to provide them with a complete Thanksgiving meal to prepare and enjoy in the comfort of their own homes. We invite you to be a part of this by contributing a grocery gift card to help with perishable items such as turkey, bread, milk, etc.. Or you can pick up a grocery gift card instruction baggie on the table in the Narthex and bring a gift card in the gift baggie back to Bethel by Sunday, November 17th. Your generosity will bless a family in need, and we are truly grateful for your support this holiday season.
NEW MEMBER CLASS: If you would like to learn more about Bethel and would like to become a member, Pastor John will be having a class on Sunday, November 17th at 10:45am in his office. There will also be a class on Sunday, December 1st but you only need to attend one. New Member Joining weekend will be on Saturday and Sunday, December 14 & 15. The New Member Spaghetti Dinner will be on Sat., Nov. 14th at 6:30pm.
THANKSGIVING EVE WORSHIP & PIE SOCIAL: Join us on Wednesday, November 27th at 6:30pm for our Thanksgiving Worship and Pie Social. Pies are needed! Please bring pies that evening and put them on the carts in the Welcome Center BEFORE the service.
WINTER CLOTHING DONATION CAMPAIGN: The Bethel Senior group is sponsoring a campaign to help those without adequate clothing and shelter during the cold winter months by collecting donations of winter gear (Tarps, blankets, sleeping bags, winter coats, stocking hats, wool socks, mittens, gloves, etc.). Donation boxes will be in the Narthex until December 1st. Thank you for your generosity.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES
KINGDOM KIDS CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL (Ages 4 thru 5th Grade): Please come to worship at 9:30am and the children will be dismissed to Kingdom Kids at approximately 9:45am.
YOUTH GROUP BE BOLD (Youth Hour is for Ages 12-18): We will be meeting Sunday at 10:45am in the Youth Room. Contact Bethany for more information.
ADULT BIBLE CLASSES: Pastor John is teaching a Marriage class “Marriage on the Rock” that starts at 10:45am in the Library. Come learn about God’s design for your dream marriage. Pastor Dan is leading a study on the Gospel of John that begins at 10:45am in the Faith Forum.
WEEKDAY BIBLE STUDY GROUPS
BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP: This is a city-wide women’s bible class that meets here at Bethel at 6:45pm on Monday nights. They are studying the book of Revelation.
MEN’S UP AND ADAM: This men’s group meets at Bethel for Bible Study every Wednesday morning at 6:30am.
RUTH BIBLE STUDY: We are studying Max Lucado’s book “Life Lessons from Daniel and Esther.” We would love to have you join us! We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 9:30am – 11:00am in the Library.
WEST (WOMEN EARNESTLY SEEKING TRUTH) BIBLE STUDY: We meet Wednesdays in the Library from 10:30am - 12:00noon. We are discussing “I Am: Discovering Who Jesus Is.”
WEB (Women Exploring the Bible): We are discussing the study “Unveiling Mary Magdalene” by Liz Curtis Higgs. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 9:00am -11:00am in the Library.
CONNECT, GROW, & SERVE
BETHEL BOOK CLUB: We meet once a month on the 3rd Thursday at 1:00pm in the Library. In October we will meet on Thursday, November 21st. The Book we are reading is “Killing Trail” by Margaret Mizushima.
BUNCO: We meet in the Narthex on the first Friday of the month at 7:00pm (Friday, November 1st). It’s a game of dice and all are welcome.
COMFORT MAKERS: Bethel's quilting group meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday of each month from 9:00am – noon in the Christ Center.
CONNECTIONS GROUP: This group is targeted to singles and couples in their 60’s (plus or minus). It is a fellowship and discussion group of mutual support, laughter, food, and fun. The next time we meet is Friday, November 8th at 6:30pm.
GIFTS FROM THE HEART: We enjoy sharing the love of Christ with others by preparing and donating gifts. Our gift-giving includes: specially prepared baby gifts for newborns at Bethel, recycling stuffed animals for foster children, three different types of gift bags handed out to the homeless, meals for shut-ins or families in distress, and household goods for displaced veterans.
GIRL SCOUTS: We meet every other Thursday at 6:00pm in the Youth Room.
DINING OUT GROUP: We meet on the 4th Monday of the month.
MEN’S CHALLENGE GROUP: Men, do you want the abundance God came to give you? Do you want joy and peace AND to advance His kingdom? Then come join us. Hear God lead you. Glorify Him. We meet at 11:00am on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at Bethel.
PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP: This group is for folks interested in photography from the novice to experienced.
STITCHED WITH LOVE: This ministry provides an opportunity for you to make and donate crocheted or knitted items for infants and children. These can include white baby afghans (now given to infants at baptisms) or items such as layettes, booties, quilts, stuffed animals, etc. We also make a variety of handmade items throughout the year for donation to foster children through Cases of Love, infants through Life Network, winter scarves for the homeless, etc.
STEPHEN MINISTRY: Are you going through a difficult time—emotionally, spiritually, or relationally? Are you lonely, experiencing a crisis, or simply stressed by everyday life? You don’t have to suffer alone. Our Stephen Ministers are trained caregivers, ready to listen, care for and encourage you, pray with and for you, and provide confidential one-to-one Christian care to help you through whatever it is that you are facing.
VARIETY DANCE: Variety Dance meets each Saturday afternoon in the Christ Center. The 2:30pm class is led by Gloria Pascua and the 4:00pm class is led by Sharon Oldfield.
